This position assists in providing high-quality supplemental support, responsive caregiving and educational experiences in an Early Head Start setting. Provide staff breaks, classroom coverage, kitchen aid and other center support as needed.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Minimum: High School Diploma or GED AND NC Early Childhood Credential and have or be working towards a NC Early Childhood Certificate OR have or be working towards an Infant/Toddler Child  Development A (CDA) OR equivalent coursework.

Preferred: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services or a related field. Degree(s) must be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of Child Development and Early Education.

EXPERIENCE:
One year of teaching experience within a NC licensed 5-star child care facility/program. Early Head Start, Head Start, or NC Pre-K experience preferred.
