As a member of the healthcare team here at Riverview Health, the Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department demonstrates active patient advocacy to ensure all rights are identified and met for every patient. The Registered Nurse (RN) encompasses all duties relating to providing exemplary patient care services at Riverview Health. Outstanding customer service skills and understanding of confidentiality and productivity are required by the Registered Nurse (RN).

Emergency Registered Nurse RN Job Functions:

• Use the nursing process, demonstrate a strong clinical knowledge base while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating emergency room patients within the framework of standards of patient care in nursing practice
• Deliver care to the acutely ill and injured patients of the community.
• Anticipate and respond to patient needs.
• Monitor the ongoing physical, psychological, social, safety, educational and discharge needs of each patient.
• Follow standard of care set out by the Emergency Nurse Association and the American Nurses Association.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with patients, families and a multidisciplinary team
• Team focused
• Patient Advocate
• Critical thinking skills

Emergency Registered Nurse RN Job Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse Program Licensed RN in the state of Indiana
• Minimum Experience: 2 years of previous Critical Care experience.
• Other Requirements: CPR, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred: Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN), TNCC
