Site IT Technical Lead

The Site IT Technical Lead's role is to facilitate the delivery of products and services in alignment with Omron’s overall IT vision, strategy and operating framework to all internal staff and contractors who have access to Omron’s internal network and systems at the assigned site. This position will be expected to ensure the accuracy of both software and hardware inventory for the primary site assigned and will include analyzing requirements, recommending improvements, and proactively driving innovation. This individual will work closely with our businesses and IT partners to create efficient, sustainable solutions, providing technical expertise throughout the office within your assigned site while realizing the strategic goals of Corporate Headquarters.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure prompt incident resolution and request fulfillment, including prioritization when required, for all site users relating to hardware, software and application issues.
• Act as a liaison to OMCA IT Level 1 through 3 Technicians in support of assigned site on all incidents and requests supporting user management, conference room setup and maintenance, and enterprise systems/applications and tools.
• Support business specific systems, applications and tools required by engineering, manufacturing and R&D teams.
• Drive the support of specific systems deployed by the Dev/Sec/Operations teams including connectivity, test areas tools and applications, and products/innovation centers.
• Drive adherence to Record Retention Center Governance to ensure compliance with established guidelines (i.e. Intellectual Property)
• Lead brainstorming activities that lead to the identification of solutions that address business needs or problems.
• Ensure all necessary documentation is created and/or updated to facilitate the ongoing support of the operations.
• Grow relationship with business stakeholders to improve alignment of IT and business initiatives.
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and modernization.
• Assess security issues and risks associated with the delivery of a solution.
• Support compliance of solutions with related Omron Group Rules, including data privacy and trade secret protection.
• Provide input into cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed solution to aid management in making implementation decisions.
• Work closely with project management teams to successfully monitor progress of initiatives.
• Other duties and miscellaneous projects as needed.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a technology-based role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with Barcode/Label Printers
• Experience working with RF scanners.
• Experience with Data Analysis and KPI reporting
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite.
