San Tan Valley,, AZ Marathon has an immediate opening for an Onsite Warehouse Supervisor to lead multiple departments in a fast-paced Distribution Center. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate all activities of Marathon employees. Also, he/she will coach and counsel new and current employees and provide dockworker training, performance feedback, and provide disciplinary recommendations when necessary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead, educate and develop employees.
· Maintaining a positive, professional, and friendly attitude towards all employees.
· Maintain operations in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and other product quality standards
· Proactively maintains a safe work environment.
· Investigate any safety accidents in a timely manner.
· Review employee punches and payroll issues as well as processing final payroll.
· Supervise and direct employee work and monitor employee performance, including administration of disciplinary actions as appropriate. Be accessible to all areas of the dock and inside trailers; trailers may be at the dock or in the yard.
· Ensure that production responsibilities are coordinated and completed.
· Communicates any issues during shift, across all levels, as appropriate (e.g. production orders, safety hazards, etc.)
· Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide education to employees as necessary.
· Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
· Perform other duties as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS – EXPERIENCE
· 1+ years supervisory experience.
· Must be open to and practice cultural sensitivity and ability to relate well and effectively with employees of diverse backgrounds.
· Experience in production/warehouse is preferred.
· Must work various shifts and hours including some holidays and weekends
· Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
