Kodak is Hiring!We are looking for a Product Labelling Compliance Coordinator to support of Specialty Chemical Division in Rochester, NY
As a Product Labelling Compliance Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Support multiple Divisions in Eastman Kodak for Chemical Product labelling which includes Syn Chem, Plates Solutions, (PSD) AIM/ Aerial, Entertainment Imaging. Creation and maintenance of product artwork, (label files). Provide packaging requirements for Hazardous Materials shipped worldwide, (WW).
- Ensure label compliance with WW and country-specific regulations including, but not limited to Global Harmonization System, (GHS), US DOT, International Air, (IATA) International Maritime, (IMO) Global Harmonization, and OSHA. Understand how to navigate the different sections within the Code of Federal Regulations 49 book, (CFR 49) along with International Air Transport Association, (IATA) Regulations book.
- Understand and use the tools in the Safety Data Sheets, (SDS) Label Worksheets and Dangerous Goods assessments found in the Health Safety Environment, (HSE) database for required labelling and packaging.
- Request and approve label artwork from Kodak Graphic Artist. Provide instructions with all relevant regulatory, branding requirements to Graphic Artist for label artwork file creation. Familiarity with Kodak Branding and other Corporate Guidelines for label design/ trade dress and logo.
- Assist with shipping issues, SDS issues, queries from customers. Must be able to troubleshoot/ explain Regulatory Requirements to customers. Must understand GHS requirements for a compliant label. Must understand UN Regulations for packaging of both non - hazardous and hazardous materials. Must demonstrate commitment to ensure legal requirements are satisfied.
- Ability to work well alone and under pressure. Ability to multi-task multiple requests within time constraints. Demonstrate strict attention to detail.
- Good computer skills: MS Outlook, Lotus Notes Databases, Word, Power Point, Excel, EZ-Label.
- Create and maintain folders with product label templates for all Divisions. Folders will contain Art files for labels along with PowerPoint change requests.
- Create and maintain any System 9000 documentation relative to this position. Label creation Standard Operating Procedure, (SOP).
- Complete hazardous materials transportation online training consisting of thirteen courses within 90 days of start date and follow up with recurrent training a minimum of every three years.
- Basic understanding and access to JIRA to use new SDS and Label Worksheet drafts to create product labels.
- Interface with outside vendors. Will create labels for products manufactured for Kodak in facilities in Germany and China. Involves communicating and sharing files.
- Understand and practice Kodak Confidentiality standards and requirements when working with non-Kodak suppliers.
- Experience working in the chemical industry or Health, and Environment a plus.
