About the Role: As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, packing and shipping orders, and maintaining the warehouse environment. You will work closely with other warehouse team members to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Pay Rate: $23.25/hour
Available Shift Times:
Thursday- Monday, 7am – 3:30pm
Typical duties of a pit driver may include:
Operating various vehicles and equipment:
This can range from forklifts and other powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or distribution center to specialized vehicles on a racetrack or in a mining operation.
Transporting materials and equipment:
Safely moving items like pallets of goods, tools, or even race cars within the pit area.
Following safety procedures:
Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Coordinating with pit crews or other team members:
Ensuring smooth and efficient operations by communicating effectively and working as part of a team.
Maintaining equipment:
Performing basic checks and maintenance on the vehicles and equipment they operate.
Load and unload materials:
Depending on the specific role, this might involve using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to load and unload materials from trucks or other transport vehicles.
Working in various environments:
Depending on the industry, pit drivers may work in warehouses, distribution centers, racetracks, or industrial sites.
May include other warehouse duties:
In some roles, pit drivers may also be responsible for tasks like inventory management, order fulfillment, or quality control.

Driving skills:
Proficiency in operating various vehicles and equipment, including maneuvering in tight spaces and handling heavy loads.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a warehouse or similar environment
Strong organizational and time management skills including exceptional attendance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to follow instructions and work safely
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 49 pounds
Ability to push utility carts up to 60 pounds
Ability to use carts, dollies and hand trucks
Ability to go up and down stairs (where applicable)
Ability to work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)
