Job Responsibilities
- Designs, develops and maintains the Epic training environment.
- Works collaboratively with training team members, Epic Build Analysts and other application analysts to ensure the training curriculum and training environments (e.g. MST) are updated to reflect current design decisions, build and clinical workflows.
- Assists with E Learning and creates other avenues for end-user education. Maintains all relevant policy and procedure documentation.
- Develops credentialed training staff while supporting and administering credentialed training programs.
- Coordinates schedules and CT efforts with the scheduling team and training manager/leadership.
- Demonstrates ability to diagnose complex application issues and recommends remedial actions/training to correct problems using comprehensive application knowledge.
- Reviews new application enhancements/upgrades and assists in the development of implementation plans.
- Meets deadlines as defined by the project plan and monitors/communicates impact of project to training team.
Additional Requirements
Education:
Master’s degree in Education Healthcare or related field
Experience:
5 years’ experience in education or healthcare related field. eLearning course design and development experience preferred.

- Preferred: Three years of training Epic EHR. Three years of curricula development. Learning Management System experience and experience in developing/documenting business/clinical workflows. eLearning course design and development experience.
Certification:
Within 6 Months Achieve Epic Beaker application certification within six months of hire. Current Epic certification preferred.
License:
Valid state driver's license and own transportation required.
Skills:
- Communication - Demonstrated ability to work across organizations and multiple audiences. Possesses strong change leadership skills, public speaking, and ability to inspire others. Ability to travel between facilities and training sites. Strong presentation, communication (verbal and written) and public speaking skills. Comfort with technology and ability to adapt to change. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Learning Strategies - Working knowledge of best practices in adult learning principles.
- Leadership - Ability to provide professional guidance and supervisory oversight to team members. Possesses strong change leadership and people skills and ability to build rapport and inspire others. Exercises a high degree of autonomy. Demonstrates project management concepts/skills. Demonstrates the use of critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly.
Must successfully complete all required courses (three weeks of Epic application certification classes, training, Environments and Documentation courses).
