Art Therapy Fellow
Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday

About the Child Life & Integrative Care Division:
The Division of Child Life and Integrative Care at Cincinnati Children’s is committed to the practice of family-centered care by promoting play, education, developmental and psychosocial support. We are an integral part of the health care team who can support the child’s outpatient visit and inpatient stay. We help minimize stress and maximize coping of patients and families.
About the Job:
Art Therapists at Cincinnati Children's work with patients using the artistic process to improve the patient's physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Our Art Therapists possess a wide knowledge of visual art (drawing, painting, sculpture, and other art forms), as well as human development, psychological and counseling theories, and techniques.
We are now offering a one-year Art Therapy Fellowship. This is a full-time position, working Monday-Friday. This position will provide an opportunity for an Art Therapist to gain experience in the medical setting in a variety of areas, including but not limited to Bone Marrow Transplant and Cancer and Blood Diseases. All direct patient care hours can be used toward the supervision requirement for Art Therapy Board Certification. We will provide the 50 hours of supervision required by the Art Therapy Credentials Board.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a master’s degree in art therapy to be considered.
Pay:
$23.50 per hour
